GF Baking Made Simple


You don't need to be a pastry chef to make delicious GF baked goods. These recipes use Bob's Red Mill 1-to-1 GF Flour — the easiest flour for beginners.


🍌 GF Banana Bread


The easiest GF recipe to start with. Moist, sweet, foolproof.


Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1.5 cups GF all-purpose flour

  • Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan
  • Mash bananas, mix in melted butter
  • Mix in sugar, egg, vanilla
  • Add baking soda, salt, and GF flour. Stir until just combined
  • Pour into loaf pan, bake 55-65 minutes
  • Cool 10 minutes before removing

  • Pro tip: Add 1/2 cup GF chocolate chips for chocolate banana bread.


    🍪 GF Chocolate Chip Cookies


    Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2.5 cups GF all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  • Instructions:

  • Cream butter and sugars until fluffy
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla
  • Mix in GF flour, baking soda, salt
  • Fold in chocolate chips
  • Refrigerate dough 30 minutes (important for GF — prevents spreading)
  • Scoop onto baking sheet, bake 10-12 minutes at 375°F
  • Let cool on pan 5 minutes (they firm up as they cool)

    🍕 GF Pizza Dough


    Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups GF all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Instructions:

  • Mix GF flour, yeast, sugar, and salt
  • Add warm water and olive oil, mix into a soft dough
  • Press onto a greased pizza pan or parchment-lined baking sheet
  • Let rise 30 minutes in a warm spot
  • Pre-bake crust at 425°F for 10 minutes
  • Add sauce, cheese, toppings
  • Bake another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly

    🥞 GF Pancakes


    Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups GF all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • Instructions:

  • Mix dry ingredients
  • Whisk wet ingredients separately
  • Combine — don't overmix (lumps are fine)
  • Cook on greased griddle over medium heat
  • Flip when bubbles form on surface
  • Serve immediately with maple syrup

    🎂 GF Chocolate Cake


    Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups GF all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • Instructions:

  • Mix all dry ingredients
  • Add wet ingredients, mix until smooth
  • Pour into greased 9-inch round pan
  • Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes
  • Cool completely before frosting
